It is based on the requirements of the Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz — BFSG) and the harmonised standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1.

The basis of our accessibility measures are the internationally recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) at conformance levels A and AA.

Based on internal self-assessment, the FledgeKit™ website is largely compliant with WCAG 2.2 at levels A and AA. Specific measures in place include:

• Semantic HTML5 landmark regions (main, header, footer, nav, aside)
• All interactive elements are keyboard-operable with visible focus indicators
• Colour contrast ratios meet or exceed WCAG AA thresholds throughout
• Images carry descriptive alt attributes; decorative images use empty alt=""
• ARIA roles and labels applied to dynamic components (accordion FAQ, interactive calculator)
• No auto-playing media or time-limited interactions
• Type scale uses relative units and responds correctly to browser font-size preferences

Known issues

The interactive pricing calculator (React island) has been reviewed manually but not yet tested with a full range of assistive technologies. We are actively working on verifying compatibility with screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver) and will update this statement as findings emerge.
